“It looks like Ariana Grande… on crack”

Madame Tussauds London have been getting a fair amount of stick for their new Ariana Grande wax figure. The attraction debuted the waxwork - but they didn't get the reception they expected.

Having already been asked for input on the singer's outfit before it was revealed, fans were left confused when they saw the figure - it really doesn't seem like people think it looks like her.

Madame Tussauds posted on social media as the big reveal to the world, writing: "You chose Classic Ari! Now we have her style nailed, you can see Ariana Grande at Madame Tussauds London for 5 weeks from Friday."

In fairness, the outfit is very Ari. Dressed in an oversized jumper, thigh-high boots and her ponytail, the resemblance to Ariana ends there really. And it hasn't gone unnoticed, as you can imagine, with people fully ripping into it.

I'm not sure why people keep trying with waxworks to be honest. They are rarely any good, and even if they are, why would you want to see a waxy version of someone anyway?

Another wax fail of late came in the form of this sculpture of Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke as Daenerys Targaryen that has recently gone on display in Dublin has set people talking for all the wrong reasons.

Again, people were quick to point out that it ain't exactly the spitting image of the Mother of Dragons after the museum shared a photo of their latest creation on Instagram.

Wow.

One person asked if they had simply mashed together the statues of Legolas from The Lord of the Rings and Lucius Malfoy from the Harry Potter series.

That might actually have ended up looking more like Emilia Clarke than this monstrosity.

Seriously guys, let's just leave the waxworks out, yeah?
