Anyone who suffers from eczema will know that it's a relentless condition. Finding a way to control the condition can result in spending money on expensive treatments, relentless visits to the doctor and a whole world of discomfort and pain.

If this sounds like you, then fret not, because a woman who suffered from a particularly extreme form of the skin condition reckons she's found a cure - and it'll only set you back £8. Get in.

Nicola Johnson from Cumbria, whose face was once covered in painful eczema, has hailed the budget Aveeno Dermexa cream a 'miracle' for clearing her skin for the first time in years.

The 30-year-old said she bought the cream in a last-ditch effort back in February, only to be shocked when it actually worked in a matter of days.

Speaking about her condition, she said: "As a child, I would get eczema in waves but as soon as I hit 21 years-old it became uncontrollable.

"I was super stressed as I was changing jobs and moving homes with my now husband Tom, so my skin flared up and became so difficult to get rid of.

"I have tried everything and anything, whether it be a remedy I see on social media like the celery juice diet and veganism or prescribed steroids from the doctor.

"It has been years of trial and error for me, the first two months of cutting dairy and meat out of my diet were amazing for my skin, but then the eczema returned."

But then everything changed earlier this year when her friend recommended the Aveeno cream and she decided to give it a shot.

"I can't remember the last time my skin was this clear for this long. I really don't want to jinx anything but it feels amazing," Nicola added.

"I still have patches of eczema, but the majority of my skin is finally clear, and the patches I do have are very manageable with the help of the cream."

The mum-of-two is now an ambassador of the company and promotes the cream on her social media pages.

"As a young adult, I let eczema get the better of me to the point where I had to take anti-depressant tablets, but I took myself off them as I accepted this is how my skin works.

"I realised you can't put your life on hold, there were days I would miss work due to the physical and mental effects of eczema.

"I decided to share my before and after pictures on Instagram because I wanted to shed a bit of light that eczema sufferers skin can and will get better - as well as to showcase this miracle cream."

Inspirational stuff - who knew that an eight quid cream could have such a significant impact on a woman's life. If you're suffering from eczema, might be worth getting a bottle.
