Mum Asks John Terry For Photo And It Turns Out Incredibly Awkward

Whenever some people see a celebrity, their first instinct is to get a photo with them but this mum didn't really have that thought process

It can be a bit surreal coming across a famous person in regular, normal, mortal life because you don't exactly expect them to be walking around a shopping centre.

You imagine that they have people to sort their day-to-day errands, but in reality, some are just like you and me.

When you stumble upon these celebrities, it's very easy to stand there, mouth agape and point and stare - or you can pluck up the courage and have a chat with them. Obviously, you want a photo with the person because otherwise your mates will call bullshit and you'll have no proof.

But one mum in Tamworth, Staffordshire, had a downright strange approach to this scenario when she bumped into former England football captain John Terry.

Amy's mum and auntie ran into the current Aston Villa captain at Marks & Spencer while he was looking around the men's clothes area.

But when she asked for a photo of the ex-Chelsea star, she didn't think to get herself in the picture, despite having good ol' auntie Pam to help her with the camera.

So J.T. just stood there. By himself. Alone. In a picture with no one. How bloody awkward. Mind you, he's been in worse positions, just ask Wayne Bridge.

Amy chucked the photo and message from her mum onto Twitter and it went big-time viral. It's been liked, shared and commented on more than 27,000 times.

Getting a celebrity to stop what they're doing and speak to you is half the battle, but Amy's mum had Terry there in a prime position and she positively stuffed it.

Speaking of Terry, he didn't have the best of luck when he went overseas last year and his social media updates let a gang of thieves know he wasn't home.

The thugs burst into Terry's mansion in Surrey while he was on a skiing holiday with wife, Toni, and their twins. They nicked off with £400,000 worth of goods, more than a quarter of which were designer handbags (how handbags can cost that much is beyond me).

Darren Eastaugh, 30, Joshua Sumer, 27, Roy Head, 28, and Oliver Hart, 25, were spotted on CCTV using a ladder to get into the home and were charged. They were found to have committed a string of burglaries in Surrey and Sussex.

In August, Kingston Crown Court jailed them for nearly 28 years.
