WhatsApp Now Lets You Add Bold And Italic Text As Well As Strikethroughs

Sometimes during a simple WhatsApp group chat there's not enough ways to get your point across fully.

Whether it's expressing just how good a meal was, outlining how much of a dickhead the office bellend who steals food is, or just some well timed savagery, exclamation marks don't always cut it.

Which is why the addition of bold text, italic text and strikethroughs are a welcomed update.

If you'd like to get your point across with bold text, simply add asterisks either side of the words you'd like to make bolder (*).

If you feel that some italicised words would further your message then instead of asterisks, put underscores either side of the text (_)

If you'd prefer a strikethrough to reiterate a certain point, the same format applies but with tildes (~).

No doubt the novelty will eventually wear off when no one can actually be bothered doing any of this. But still, it's nice to have the option.
