We're certain there's no hardship like caring for a seriously ill child in their time of need.

The process of hospitals, doctors, needles, drips and masks can be terrifying enough as a grown adult, to witness a child take it all on can be heartbreaking.

The BUMBLEance is a genius service that aims to add a spark of joy to what could otherwise be a bleak experience for all involved. The world's first ambulance service specifically designed and tailored for children, this souped up vehicle is kitted out with games and entertainment packages to surprise, delight and, most importantly, distract your child from the circumstances they've found themselves in.

We're talking everything from social media streaming, WiFi, Playstation, DVDs, games, books, colouring, sensory lighting, Netflix, an iPad Air, Beats headphones, Apple TV and Apple Music, there's a whole world of fun to unpack inside this very special chauffeur.

Crucially, the BUMBLEance also offers a service which includes medical personnel coming on board for children who may require urgent care whilst en route to their destination.

"We also have a service called an Angel trip. An angel trip is designed for a terminally I'll child who is making his/her final journey on earth before they grow their Angel Wings," a spokesperson for the BUMBLEance explained to us. Please, give us a minute to pull ourselves together after processing this information.

"As an organisation we complete 750,000km per year, equivalent to 19 trips around the equator. We service approx 150 children per calendar month, a majority of which are trips to and from hospital visits," they continued. That's a lot of ground covered and a lot of children whose days they've no doubt managed to brighten up just a tad.

If you're the parent of an ill child - or a King or Queen Bee as the BUMBLEance respectfully refers to them - who may require the services of the BUMBLEance, you can find out more about how to book a journey here.Featured Image Credit: BUMBLEance.com
