Do you remember how embarrassing it was when one of your parents took you into school when you felt old enough to go in by yourself?
Perhaps they wanted to kiss you on the cheek, chat to your friends, or present a full explainer to your class on the inside of your packed-lunch box.

Now imagine that embarrassment, but on live TV.
There's a good chance that feeling is close to what US reporter Myles Harris experienced when on the job for ABC News this month.
The camera was rolling with Myles front-and-centre when his mother rolls up in a car for a chat - all recorded by his colleague Deangelo Byrd.

The clip then went viral on Instagram after Myles posted it to his personal Instagram page with 11.1k followers.
It appears Myles had no idea his mother would be turning up on the scene, as he struggles to suppress a look of surprise when he sees the familiar (offscreen) car.
Turning back to the camera with an expression of pure embarrassment, he says: "This is my mum... hold on."

Entering from the left of the screen a car pulls up with its front passenger window down and a woman with a gleaming smile waving her hand from the driver's seat.
She says: "Hi baby!"
You may cringe or smile, but it's clear Myles was experiencing a tad of the former when his mum turns up.
"I'm trying to work right now and you want me to call on my phone," he says. "This is Deangelo. You can say hi."

His mother screams a greeting to Deangelo who can be heard cracking up with laughter just offscreen.
After a warning from her son not to hold up traffic because of a growing queue of cars behind her, Myles's mother Sandi blows a kiss to the camera and drives off screen.
The reporter captioned his video with the face-palm emoji: "Typical Sandi. Yes, typical Sandi."
The video itself has been viewed over 430,500 times by Instagram users and received comments from verified journalists working for other news stations across the US.
Most users leaving comments said they could relate with Myles's experience, having similar mothers of their own.

Another user wrote: "Moms always gonna be ya biggest cheerleader."
