Family Of Saffie Rousso Release YouTube Video To Make Her A Star

The family and friends shared the #Saffiethesuperstar to help fulfill the girl's dream of being a star.

The family of eight-year-old Saffie Rousso, who died in the Manchester Arena terror attack in May, have released a YouTube video of the little girl on the day of her funeral to fulfill her dream of becoming a star.

Hundreds of people gathered to pay their respects to little Saffie at Manchester Cathedral today, where a video montage, set to Ariana Grande's 'One Last Time' was played.

Saffie was the youngest victim of the attack, which killed 23 and injured hundreds more, and had dreamed of being famous.

Her family and friends released the video alongside the hashtag #Saffiethesuperstar in the hopes it would go viral.

Saffie was at the Ariana Grande concert at Manchester Arena on 22 May, with her mum and older sister, when terrorist Salman Abedi detonated a bomb.

Her mum Lisa was placed into an induced coma after being hit with shrapnel. Her sister Ashlee Bromwich, was also injured.

Speaking on BBC's Victoria Derbyshire programme on what would have been Saffie's birthday, dad Andrew said: "She was just everything you could wish for in a little girl.

"Saffie wanted to be the most famous young girl in the world. That was Saffie's dream. And I'm going to try to do everything to make that happen for her because she was a beautiful, stunning young lady.

"She wanted to be famous and I'd love to make her as famous as I possibly can."

The hashtag is already trending on Twitter with hundreds of people sharing the video.
