Prepare To Have Your Socks Blown Off By The UK’s Strongest Coffee

This is not for the faint-hearted

Coffee lovers might remember the good old days when they started out drinking black stuff. Back then, it seemed like the buzz from merely a single cup could ripple through their body to the point they could smell the colour nine. But over the years, that feeling dissipates and one coffee just doesn't hit the sweet spot anymore.

Some drinkers might have multiple cups throughout the day, whereas others will scour shops, both mainstream and boutique, to find a blend that has a decent kick to it.

Well, the search is over. Introducing Sons of Amazon, who claims to have the strongest coffee in the UK.

A standard 8oz cup of instant coffee reportedly has about 110mg of caffeine inside, but SoA's blend has four times that amount. With a motto of 'strong enough to wake the dead', you know they're not fucking around.

Sons of Amazon co-founder Eric Witham says not only is his coffee profoundly strong, it's also ethically sourced. The secret to the incredibly high caffeine is all to do with the roasting process, but the company insists that no chemicals are used to increase the energy-boosting substance.

Eric tells LADbible: "It's a natural release process in our roasting technique which we developed and perfected. It's a simple selection of beans from our farms, which are grown to our specifications. We tested dozens of beans from various plantations before we settled on two farms.

"It's also a process of roasting. Our head roaster has over 20 years of roasting experience; he has a technique that he knows the exact second to take the beans off the roaster. When [he's] roasting, he can't be interrupted as he is listening to the various 'cracking' noises."

Despite this being 200 percent stronger than your average cup of joe, the company also add that their coffee is anything but horrifically bitter.

According to their customers, they aren't lying.

One person wrote: "I usually find myself immune to the caffeine in coffee, but this one finally made me understand what a caffeine kick feels like."

While another user summed it up perfectly: "One cup was enough to see me through my busy work day, this coffee is not for the faint-hearted! I wouldn't have a cup after 6pm! The thought has crossed my mind of having a cup before a night out..."

You can get your own bag for just £20 ($26) and one customer claims you can get about 55 cups of coffee from each 500g packet.
