Nan Mortified After Granddaughter's 'Unicorn' Cakes Turn Out Looking A Lot Like Something Else

A nan was left mortified after her granddaughter made some 'unicorn' cupcakes for her teachers, only for them to turn out looking a helluva lot like something a bit more X-rated.

Little Brielle Langdon and her grandma Lesley Mcgrotty spent an afternoon making cupcakes together for her to bring into school. Sweet eh?

But when it came to decorating the cakes, unicorn-loving Brielle accidentally ending creating something that looked more 'like willies'.

Lesley attempted to talk the six-year-old out of taking the cakes to school, but Brielle insisted she wanted to share them with her teachers.

Lesley, from Swansea, Wales, said: "I was absolutely mortified. I was laughing and mortified, thinking I would do anything for her not to take them in, but she wasn't having it.

"We had to take them. Unless I told her they looked like willies, she wouldn't know a thing.

"I had Brielle for the day because she had been off school. I picked up a box of unicorn cakes and there were supposed to be unicorns on top. This is what she ended up doing.

"I did try and get her to change them without saying why, because obviously I knew what they were looking like.

"But no, she was adamant they were unicorns and that's what she was going to leave them as.

"She only made six and she wanted to take them in for the teachers. Nothing was going to put her off. I did try talking her out of it, but she wasn't having it.

"It was really difficult [handling it] without saying 'you can't take them in' because she's convinced they're unicorns.

"We cut out the discs on top and then she was rolling the thing to make the horn, and I did try and get her to roll it around to get it to look like a horn, but she wouldn't leave me to do it.

"She wanted to do it herself. It's usually Brielle and my other grandson who is the same age, so they like cooking together.

"He probably would have told her that it looked like a willy, but he wasn't there.

"We usually make Welsh cakes together, which are a lot easier. You can't go wrong with them.

"I definitely won't be making unicorn cakes with her again. We'll be sticking to Welsh cakes."

Brielle's mum Emily Langdon says her little girl has no clue that the cakes resemble anything other than unicorns.

Emily said: "Brielle loves unicorns. She's a typical six-year-old and obviously her little innocent mind hasn't got a clue what she's done.

"I think they look like penises and balls. Oh god, bless her. She's tried so hard to make it look like a unicorn and it's gone completely wrong.

"The balls are supposed to be unicorn ears, the icing the head and the spike the horn. It turned out differently.

"She slept over at my mother-in-law's last night and my mother-in-law sent me a photo of the cakes, but I didn't see it until this morning.

"I opened up my phone and saw those cupcakes and I messaged her back saying I was creased.

She took them to school, so I've got to pick her up later after she's taken those cupcakes in. My mother-in-law could see it as well. That's why she sent the photo.

"The teachers might not say anything because they don't want to offend or make her see anything other than unicorns. I might just say to the teachers sorry about the cupcakes.

"Everybody is just absolutely creased because she's only six and has an innocent mind, so she genuinely thinks they look like unicorns.

"She's never done anything like this before. It's the first time.

"She makes cakes regularly but nothing before where you have to sculpt it. Usually it's where you cut the icing and put on edible stickers, stuff like that.

"It will be so funny to show her this photo when she grows up."
