Mum's Horror After Daughter Recreates Her Husband's Rude Valentine's Day Card

Mum's Horror After Daughter Recreates Her Husband's Rude Valentine's Day Card

This is absolutely hilarious

It's a point in time that every parent looks forward to - no, not bed time, I'm talking about the excitement of receiving handmade cards for Christmas, birthday, Easter and even Valentine's Day from your precious little angels.

But would there be anything more mortifying that receiving a card from your pride and joy, only to realise that what they've actually drawn is... well, genitalia? Even worse, they've actually recreated it from a (what should be) private Valentine's Day card from your other half.

The card Rachel received as a present from her husband.

That's exactly what happened to Rachel Peverley, who was probably eager to open the card from her little girl before discovering that it said 'expecto my penis' - an exact copy of the cheeky message on the Harry Potter-themed card she'd received from husband Michael on 14 February.

The message is a play on Harry's defence charm 'expecto patronum', subtly changed to say 'expecto my penis'. Bit forward? Maybe even a tad gross? Yeah, probably, but still funny.

Maybe not a great card to catch the eye of a little girl in the midst of a copy-cat phase, however.

But the question is, how did their daughter get her hands on the card? Speaking to LADbible, Rachel explained: "It was on the mantle piece. We didn't think she would pay attention to it".

According to the Sun, Rachel is now trying (and miserably failing) to convince her daughter that the card should have read 'pen' - pull the other one, mate.

Taking to Facebook page The Unmumsy Mum to explain her situation, Rachel wrote: "My daughter drew me a lovely picture today... by copying the Valentine's Day card my hubby got me."

She added: "Can't wait to explain this one on the return after half term!"

Rachel explained how she had tried to make her daughter think the card was supposed to have a much more innocent message, saying: "She kept asking if she was saying it right. I've tried to make her believe it's 'expecto my pen'. She can read so she doesn't believe me, I'm doomed!"

Other parents were in bits when they saw what Rachel's daughter had done, with some people laughingly comparing the stunt to something their own kids would do.

One person said: "This has got one of our kids written all over it," while another added: "Isla would do this. Sensible cards next year!"

Others were using it as a learning curve and taking note to avoid a similar situation in the future with someone commenting: "Perhaps I need to stop buying inappropriate cards." Perhaps you do.

To be fair, this is actually a bloody good effort when you put the two next to each other. Who knows, Rachel might have a little artist on her hands - and an entertaining one at that.
