Hilarious Scottish Man Interrupts Sky News Reporter On Live TV

This where Theresa May's comin' doon?

Live TV is a tough gig. Even if you're a real pro, reading the news live from an outside location is difficult.

Whether you're a Sky Sports News presenter having a purple dildo shoved in your ear, or an american news anchor who is getting horrible sexual threats shouted at them, anything can - and does - happen.

Faisal Islam has probably seen a fair bit of it before, but this morning as he was delivering a summary to camera on Sky News a random Scottish bloke who was presumably just out for his morning walk barged in to ask him "Is this where Theresa May's comin' doon?"

Either that or "Is this for Theresa May comin' doon?" - the jury is well and truly out until someone tracks him down.

Regardless of the phrasing, the answer is yes. Theresa May is due to visit Ayrshire - where the segment was being filmed on the beach - today on a tour of the UK to mark 1 year until Brexit.

Luckily for everyone at Sky News (unluckily for the rest of us) we were denied further cutting political commentary from the man as the camera cut back to the studio.

Back in the studio Adam Boulton styled it out and carried on as if nothing had happened.

However, the internet misses nothing. The clip has since gone viral on social media after being posted by journalist Jamie Ross.

He posted the video with the caption: "Sensational cameo from a random Scottish man during @faisalislam's coverage of Theresa May's trip."

Even Faisal saw the funny side of things. He tweeted: "True gent, waited until the live finished before the chat..."

The video has now been retweeted nearly 800 times and has more than 1.7k likes. On top of that, a lot of people have been giving their opinion on - let's face it - the most interesting political story of the day.

One twitter user said: "Aww I want to hear what message the bloke had for Theresa May."

Don't we all! Another said: "Pity he was cut off. I'd have liked to have heard more of his views. More balanced than @faisalislam, I suspect, though may have needed an interpreter..."

Now, the Scottish/English translator angle is one that a lot of people have gone for. OK, we get it - the Scottish accent is a bit difficult for non-Scots.

One Sassenach said: "Can you translate for me please?"

It's not the first time that translation has been an issue with regional dialects. Obviously Ireland is a completely different country, but most of the people there still speak English.

Or so we thought.

Mikey Joe O'Shea sadly had a load of his sheep nicked and was interviewed on Ireland's national broadcaster RTE about it.

I assure you, this man is not speaking in Gaelic.

Nope, I've no idea either.
