A lucky punter has won nearly £115,000 ($158,000) after putting £10 ($13) on both Euro 2020 matches ending 3-3 at the end of normal full time.

The person, who hasn't been identified, put a tenner on the double and ended up with £114,660 after both Croatia vs Spain and France vs Switzerland ended 3-3 before extra time.

The customer who put the bet on is said to be in their late thirties and living in Bath, Somerset. So if any of your pals start flashing the cash soon, be suspicious. They put the bet on at 6.25am on Monday morning - perhaps before going to work?

William Hill were stunned by the bet - probably as stunned as the punter was to win.

A spokesman for the bookies said: "The games on Monday night were breathtaking but not as breathtaking as this bet! Predicting one 3-3 would have been some feat, but getting both is simply unbelievable.

"At this stage, we have no idea what his inspiration was, perhaps a dream/premonition, but it makes predicting Leicester would win the Premier League at 5000/1 look an easy feat."

Both France and Switzerland and Croatia and Spain were at 3-3 after full time before Spain went on to score another two goals in extra time which came from Álvaro Morata and Mikel Oyarzabal.

Meanwhile, Switzerland beat France on penalties.

Someone else who won thousands off just more than a tenner is Paul Henshaw after he scooped £20,000 from £11 back in January.

Paul, from Bamber Bridge near Preston, won a total of £20,741 after betting that seven fixtures would end in draws.

The 39-year-old was inspired by his dad, who quite rightly pointed out that a draw is the only outcome which is correct from kick off.

Dad-of-two Paul said: "My dad was of the view - and always has been - that all matches start as a draw so something has to happen. This is by far my biggest ever win. What a brilliant end to the year and a nice start for 2021.

"It is just amazing and to think it only took me a couple of minutes to make my selections. My father who is 71 is a big golfer and I will be treating him to special putter that will cost £200 by way of thanks. That's the least I can do."

Paul backed Wolves vs Spurs, Crystal Palace vs Leicester, Chelsea vs Aston Villa and Liverpool vs West Brom to draw in the Premier League. He also had Woking and Eastleigh in the National League and Western United and Adelaide United in the A-League.

Finally was Dundonald Bluebell FC vs Queen's Park in the Scottish Cup, where a last minute equaliser saved his bet.
