Retired Vicar, 79, And His 25-Year-Old Husband Appear On 'Jeremy Kyle'
You may remember hearing about the 79-year-old vicar who married a 24-year-old Romanian man, only to be stripped of loads of cash when the young model buggered off after finding love with a man called Jesus.
Well, they're back together - and they've appeared on The Jeremy Kyle show.
Retired vicar Philip Clements, 79, and his toyboy husband Florin Marin, 25, first made headlines towards the end of last year after they got married. When the wedding photos surfaced, it didn't look entirely promising for the couple, with the young male model looking decidedly not into it.
Clements then sold his home in Kent so he could buy a £88,800 (€100,000) flat in Bucharest for his new husband and he to live in, only for them to break up days later, leaving him with nowhere to live and strapped for cash.
But last month Clements revealed that he had rekindled his romance with his Romanian lover, much to the surprise of absolutely everyone - including Jezza, who wanted to grill the couple.
Speaking on the show, Clements explained: "Being made a fool of can be very nice, especially when it's a handsome young man making a fool of you."
However, he insisted he hasn't been made a fool of, adding: "Our relationship has been tested when I haven't had money.
"Until I sold the house, I could buy him very little when he started."
Clements explained that when they broke up he missed Florin 'enormously', and tried to have a relationship with someone else but it didn't work out.
He also detailed their open relationship, which they agreed on together due to his older age.
Clements continued: "We have an arrangement which I think at my age is sensible. I've said if he has any other relationships, one night stands or whatever, he should tell me but I'm not going to be angry about it.
"I've had one or two young men. I had a short relationship with another young Romanian but that didn't work out.
"I like a toyboy, I do, which may seem unusual for a priest, but priests are human."
He added: "These comments we've had a lot, of me being a dirty old man, horrible, but these people who write this don't know us as people."
Florin, meanwhile, was asked by Jeremy why he married the retired vicar.
"Because I love him," he replied, laughing off accusations that he is a gold digger saying that he loved the 'nickname'.
He then urged people to 'mind their own business', adding: "They don't know me, they don't know us."
Fair dos, LADs.
