Ten-Year-Old Girl Excluded From School For Wearing 'Killer Clown' Mask

Were the school right to do it?

A 10-year-old girl has been excluded from school after wearing a 'killer clown' mask in the playground.

Tonisha Lowe, described as the 'class clown' by her parents, decided to prank her schoolmates in Leek, Staffordshire.

After this whole 'killer clown' thing, it probably wasn't best advised. But she actually had her school uniform on and apparently the other kids saw her put the mask on. However, the school says that other children felt 'intimidated and threatened'.

Her mum, Mandy, told The Sun: "The school told me to collect her straightaway because she had gone to school with a clown mask and put it on in the playground and the pupils felt intimidated and threatened. I just laughed.

"To be fair, they know she is a class clown. Everyone knows her as the fun girl.

"She had her uniform on. They saw her put the mask on so they knew it was her."

She added: "If she had gone in with a cleaver prop or something I would understand."

Yeah, that's fair.

Her dad, Michael, was equally annoyed. He said: "The whole thing is ridiculous. Obviously Tonisha thought it was the in-thing because she'd seen it on television and kids do what the media tells them. I'm really annoyed and I think it's petty.

"When I went to the school I said it was harsh. I think she just jumped on the bandwagon. It's one of those things.

"She's 10 and she doesn't know. It's all been blown out of proportion. She had the mask on for about five seconds."

What do you think? Was the school too harsh or should she have known better?
