Trying to find a new job can be pretty laborious. The sort of thing that makes you feel like you've earned a drink at the end of it. Don't just take our word for it: LinkedIn recently asked people whether they preferred job hunting or going to the pub and, well, you can imagine the results. A full 45% said they preferred ABVs over CVs every time.
But imagine you could grab a pint while also meeting hiring managers and recruiters from some of the hottest companies in the country. Ladies and gentleman, the bar is open at 'The Linked Inn'.
The Linked Inn is the brainchild of (wait for it) LinkedIn, the world's largest professional network. They're putting the social back into social media, with a pop-up pub designed to bring job hunters and employers together in the friendliest of settings.
The pub will be open the evenings of Tuesday 5th and Wednesday 6th of March from 5-9pm. It will play host to a range of events designed to make job hunting fun and social: live job specials from leading companies like John Lewis Partnership, Lloyds Banking Group and (yes!) LADbible, amongst others, a professional photographer on hand to provide new portraits for your LinkedIn profile, and a range of experts dishing out advice on how to land the perfect role, as well as how to make the most of your online community to help boost your career.
There'll even be the chance to get a personalised print on your drink. All you need to do is register, have your LinkedIn profile ready to show at the door, then head on down and make an impression.
