Mum Claims 'Bedtime Massage Mist' Sent Her Kids To Sleep In 10 Minutes

It might just work for adults too

Not being able to sleep is one of the most frustrating experiences ever - and it always seems to happen when you really need to be fully fresh to face something important the following day.

But one mum has found a spray to help her kids get to the land of nod - and it might just work for adults too. She's taken to social media share her find, and the good news is it only comes in at £1.27 for a bottle.

The spray, which is marketed for children, is available from Asda and has soothing scents of lavender and chamomile, which are well known to send people of all ages off to sleep.

She posted about the product on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains Facebook group, saying: "Little Angels Massage Mist, I bathed my kids and put this on them both.

"My son is four years old and my daughter is five months old and it worked a charm, got them in pyjamas and they were both asleep within 10 minutes.

"It's usually hard to get my son to go to sleep on time, [he] always plays up.

"Only £1.27 from Asda."

Sounds good. The product is formulated to be gentle on baby's skin, and also moisturises it - apparently it is hypoallergenic, dermatologically tested and paediatrician approved.

Other people agreed with the original post, with one mum saying: "I use this on my little boy too! I've always used a lavender spray with both my boys, works a charm."

People started tagging their other mum mates in the post too.

Another posted: "I keep seeing good reviews of the Little Angels stuff. May be worth trying with the boys so they're not up until 11pm."

Since it's the scents that are supposed to help kids sleep, you'd imagine there's a good chance it'd work for adults too - and at £1.27 it's probably worth a shot.

But if you would prefer to cure your sleep troubles with something made specifically for adults, without having to get actual sleeping tablets (which can make you feel groggy), get on Lush's Sleepy lotion.

The product has had rave reviews. It's available in two sizes (95g, which costs £7.95, and 215g, which will set you back £13.95).

According to the reviews on the Lush website and on Twitter, it does exactly what it says on the tin.

The description on the Lush website reads as follows: "You'll sleep well after dipping into this dreamy lotion, made with a gentle oatmeal infusion, calming lavender flower and comfortingly sweet tonka absolute.

"A rich, malty and floral perfume conjures up visions of sugar plums and hot drinks topped with whipped cream while the heavenly ministrations of creamy Fair Trade organic cocoa butter and delicate lavender water cool and enrich the skin. Blanket your body in this lovely lotion before stepping into soft pyjamas for snuggly nights beside the fire."

I'm sleepy just reading that.
