Student Says Guy Treated Her Like A Prostitute Because She Went To A Comp School

She says the man told her he would pay her for sex after she revealed that she went to a comprehensive school

University can be a bit of fresh air to some because most people, by that age, couldn't care less about the school you came from, so long as you're a good person and don't wreck your halls after a night out.

But, unfortunately, one woman at Durham University was treated horribly by a dickhead just because she went to a comprehensive school.

Lizzie Walkley revealed in a YouTube video on her channel that she was out with a bunch of friends at the Library Bar and was generally having a good night out. She noticed one bloke was talking with the group and despite being hesitant initially due to comments he'd said throughout the night in the group, she found herself chatting with him later in the night one on one.

He was trying to talk himself up to her by giving it the big one about his ability at sport. Lizzie noted in her YouTube video: "I think what he was trying to do was appeal to me and make me attracted to him, which wasn't my sort of thing."

Lizzie tried to excuse herself from their conversation to join her friend, but the guy had positioned himself that she would literally have to push past him to get away.

She decided not to leave as she anticipated it would cause a confrontation she hadn't prepared for and so she sat back down and found the man getting more 'forward' with his attempts to woo her.

"Using what I call typical Durham tactics," she said in the YouTube video.

He apparently started talking about his background, the fact he was from a well-off family and went to an exclusive private and international school. Lizzie wasn't impressed by this information and then the situation turned for the worse.

The man asked what school she went to and complimented her by saying: "You're clearly not a chav because you're dressed like that."

The bloke then sounded off about what comp schools are like (not that it sounds like he's ever attended one) and described them as 'slums'. He asked for her number. She said no but offered to take his number to get him out of her way.

He replied with: "I don't give my number to people who went to state school."

Despite making the offensive remark, the guy asked if she wanted to have sex with him and when she declined, he said: "Oh, but you went to state school."

Then Lizzie added: "With a look in his eye I will not forget, said 'I'll pay you for sex'.

"Clearly, he felt I would need the money if I went to state school, as a member of the bottom 93 per cent of the population who didn't pay for their education."

She's hoping her video helps people understand how classism exists in some places of the UK and how it can make people feel.

"It made me realise that certain men, often men of power and privilege feel a sense of entitlement and when they don't get what they want, they think people couldn't help but to be attracted to them."
