Bunnings Warehouse Is Selling Shag Rugs For $69

It seems pretty intentional because the price is on the store's website.

Bunnings Warehouse is a bit of an institution in Australia, selling people all across the country everything and anything to do with building and decorating.

The jingle on their ads is unforgettable and it's easy to walk into a store with a couple of items on the list and walk out with tons of other stuff you didn't think you needed.

But it seems like Bunnings not only has lots of stuff to buy but it's also got a bit of humour every now and then.

A person on Reddit has posted a picture on the social media site showing the homewares store selling shag rugs for the low, low price of just $69.

Now, it shouldn't take too much intellect to work out the cheekiness of this joke but for those who need a nudge, a shag is another name for sex and 69 is a sex position. Glad we're all up to speed now.

If you look on Bunnings' website, it is indeed selling one specific Shag Pile Rug for $69 for a bit of a lol.

Describing the product online, it says: "Rome Shag Pile rug will compliment a modern or contemporary home with its soft tones and extra soft texture. These rugs adds both aesthetic and textual appeal as well as warmth underfoot. Luxurious comfort for the whole family."

Oh, we bet it adds a lot of appeal.

People on social media couldn't get enough of the x-rated rug, with one person writing: "I think they mean it as inspiration and the reason to buy a new rug for the lounge room floor, especially if it has a fireplace. It's a hat trick of innuendo."

Another added: "This took me too long to figure out but once I did I laughed out loud quite inappropriately inside an airport bar here in Canada."

A third said: "THEY KNOW. THEY TOTALLY KNOW."

Who knows, maybe someone on the way out of a job thought it would be hilarious to change the price across the country.

But if this was intentional then Bunnings just went up in people's books for cheekiness.
