Snapchat is awash with the same old banal and embarrassing photos - or at least I imagine it to be, I don't have it (I'm not 14).

But one dad decided to spend a night in with his baby making fun of such 'cringe' posts, and the next thing he knew, the pair had gone viral.

Jack and Ronnie's Snapchat parody posts went viral.

Jack Mandeville, from Stockton-on-Tees, County Durham, took a number of pics of his 18-month-old son Ronnie mimicking popular Snapchat posts with toddlery twists. Ronnie's snaps included a pic of his new boxers (nappies), his wheels (one of those plastic baby car things) and an invitation to 'Peppa Pig and chill'.

Mr Mandeville even shared a topless pic of Ronnie with the caption: "Subscribe to my premium snap for more topless pics. Don't tell my mammy or daddy."

The 24-year-old dad shared the amusing collection of snaps on Facebook, where the post received more than 17,000 likes and 25,000 shares.

Reflecting on his inspiration for the post, Mr Mandeville said: "You see loads of people asking if they can have a lift on Friday nights. People are always doing stuff like that on the app and to be honest it makes me cringe, so I thought it'd be a bit of fun.

"Peppa Pig is Ronnie's favourite TV show, he absolutely loves it, so that's why I decided to do the 'Peppa Pig and Chill' one."

Commenting on the post, many people pointed out both how funny the pictures were and how good a relationship the pair seemed to have - which Mr Mandeville confirmed to be true.

Ronnie's snaps proved very popular.

He said: "Ronnie's full of mischief and exactly like he is on Snapchat, he's so full of character.

"Because it's just the two of us we have a really special bond. I love spending quality time with him, he's such a lovely little boy. Although Ronnie's only 18 months old and doesn't talk yet, he's full of character."

Mr Mandeville added that he never expected the post to take off like it did and said he was looking forward to his relationship with Ronnie evolving as his son grows older.

He said: "I didn't know how people would react at first, I wasn't expecting it to go viral, but people loved it.

Peppa Pig is Ronnie's favourite show.

"My family and his mam thought it was great, I'm glad people have seen the funny side of it.

"I can't wait for a time in the future when me and Ronnie will be able to enjoy a real bottle of beer together - only a couple more blinks and he will be at that age."
