Firefighters were called out to rescue an 18-year-old woman from a washing machine after she got stuck there playing a game of hide-and-seek...
Amari Dancy was keeping her young cousins entertained during lockdown with the classic game when she decided to hop into the clothes washer in a bid to conceal herself.

Imagination quickly turned to panic because Amari soon realised she could't actually get back out and was in fact well and truly stuck there.
According to the MailOnline, firefighters from the Prince William County Department of Fire and Rescue arrived at the home, in Woodbridge, Virginia, shortly before 11 pm on 19 April.
Four of the members of fire service staff that were in attendance were stood with Amari wearing gloves and face masks with one asking 'can you wiggle your toes?'.
Fortunately, they were able to remove the top of the large appliance which created enough room to pull the teen out safely although it looked extremely painful towards the end as you can hear Amari cry out in pain.
Speaking to NBC, Amari said: "We already had hid underneath the bed, in the closet, and we couldn't go down into the basement. So, I was like 'Oh, OK, let's just hide in the washer machine'."

In the video, one of the firefighters can be heard trying to lighten the mood and crack a few jokes. All the while Amari's aunt, Suni Dancy, opted to film and document the entire thing.
She said: "So the fire department came in and introduced themselves and then asked her name and what happened. She said, 'Well, I was playing hide-and-seek', and he said, 'Well, did you win'."
Amari went on: "I was really worried to see if they were going to get me out or not. Once they figured out what to do ... I just felt relieved. I just wanted to be out of there."

When she was finally pulled out she was able to see the funny side again, adding: "I mean it's pretty embarrassing, but all I can do is laugh it off.
"I had a laugh out of it, my family had a laugh out of it, I'm OK. As long as I'm OK, that's all that matters to me."
Lesson learned, kids. Lesson learned.
