A British traveller who used to work as a carpet cleaner built an incredible home in Bali with £660,000 he saved up from social media earnings with his girlfriend.

Jack Morris, 29, from Manchester, UK, and his partner Lauren Bullen, from Australia, met while they were making their way around Fiji back in 2016.

After working with and promoting different brands on their Instagram pages, the pair piled their money into the bank and invested in a plot of land in Bali.

After buying the land in 2018, the couple built a three bedroom, five bathroom home complete with a 'jungle bath', swimming pool and huge rooftop terrace.

The pair have been isolating together - although Lauren is currently back in Australia - but explained how they have hired local people to help look after their house, especially while they're away travelling the world for work - alright for some, eh?

Writing on Instagram when the build was completed last year, Jack said: "It's been quite a journey but we finally finished building our villa here in Bali!

"I first visited this island four years ago and if someone told me back then that I'd be building my first house here from scratch I'd never believe it!"

Speaking to The Sun, Lauren explained: "We have full-time staff that work here so they can take care of things while we're away.

"We employ local people, a housekeeper, a gardener, a pool keeper and 24-hour security.

"There is someone who takes care of all of our bills. We are supplying jobs to local people."
