Grandmother's Brutal Response To Granddaughter's Profile Picture Goes Viral

Social media may be more commonly associated with youths, but often it is lit up by the contributions of senior social media citizens.
Ordinarily, it's when our grandparents fundamentally misunderstand how the internet works which produces the greatest gems; however, their brutal honesty can also be a real treat.
Megan Martin, from Blackburn, West Lothian, Scotland, found this out the hard way after uploading a new profile picture on Facebook.
The 17-year-old was presumably waiting for compliments to come flooding in about the snap, which sees her posing side-on in a red satin dress.
However, her grandma clearly wasn't too impressed with it, commenting: "In your new profile picture the dress makes you look like you have big pointy nipples, the way you're turning. Much preferred the last one xxx."

Megan subsequently shared the comment on Twitter where it went viral, garnering more than 5,800 likes.
"It's the 'xxx' at the end, like still love you but you've got spikes on your t**s," one person noted.
Indeed, it seems the only person who didn't really see the funny side of the whole thing was Megan's grandma herself.
Megan said: "I was in stitches with laughter as I didn't realise until she had commented.
"My gran comments on most pictures I upload. She is quite upfront with what the thinks about what I'm wearing. The brand of the dress was Quiz in a satin material and I was going to a party and the picture was taken that night.
"I didn't expect the tweet to go viral at all. My friends and family have had the same reaction as me, we didn't notice how funny the picture actually was until my gran mentioned.
"I told my gran that her comment went viral afterwards - she was shocked as she didn't think it was that funny."

But while Megan's new profile picture may make it look a bit like she has 'big pointy nipples', it's an optical illusion that pales in comparison to Eric Dier's trackie bottom baguette.
The Tottenham midfielder shared a picture of himself with some of the guys from his former club, Sporting CP, last November. However, the reunion with Nani and the rest of the gang was overshadowed quite literally...
