Scottish Teen Finally Goes To Barbers And Gets Very Dodgy Haircut

Scottish Teen Finally Goes To Barbers And Gets Very Dodgy Haircut

Imagine waiting four months for this

A Scottish teen has been left less than impressed after finally getting a haircut following lockdown.

Thomas Haggarty, from Paisley, had been eagerly awaiting getting a trim during the third lockdown, and with restrictions on personal care easing in Scotland, he wasted no time in getting himself in the barber's chair.

However, after more than 40 minutes of snipping, and having parted with £9.50 for the cut, he wasn't exactly delighted with the results.

Thomas told LADbible: "I've been waiting for a haircut for four months, my last haircut was just before Christmas.

"I normally have quite long hair so it does take a wee bit longer than others to get my hair cut, but as it got to around 40 mins I noticed the sides were questionable."

I'd say 'questionable' is putting it mildly - but like so many of us in that situation, when asked if he was happy with his new 'do, Thomas lied through his teeth.

He added: "I obviously replied with the famous one-liner - 'aye that's perfect, cheers', not having the heart to tell the full truth."

Ah, we've all been there, mate.

Deciding to at least try and give people a bit of a laugh, Thomas posted a photo of his haircut on Twitter, writing: "Four months I've been waiting for a haircut. Only to be hit with this. @NicolaSturgeon do us all a favour and close them again, love."

Thomas said: "My friends were posting about it on their Snapchat stories and slaughtering me so I thought I could try to get a reaction out of Twitter and make the best out of a bad situation."

And, fair enough, the tweet has since gone viral, picking up thousands of likes and retweets.

Hopefully that'll be some comfort to Thomas who is now hoping that he'll eventually come round to his new haircut, despite his pals urging him to shave his head.

Thomas added: "All of my friends said we should shave it off on camera but I'm still holding out to see if the hairstyle will grow on me - literally.

"My mum and girlfriend, of course, are very supportive of me as usual saying I look lovely, which I know is a stone cold lie!"
