A woman who discovered her selfie showing her new hair had been edited by her hairdresser has been met with even worse horror stories of stylists editing pictures. Watch her original viral video revealing the transformation here:

TikToker @spaghettileti6969 was asked by her stylist to send over a selfie showing off her new look to help him market his services - which presumably made her feel pretty good about herself.

However, her jubilation quickly turned to shock when she visited his page and realised that her snap had been edited.

Others shared some even worse experiences in the comments on the video.

One person said: "Same girl! My hairdresser literally cropped my nose off and posted it."

The original woman responded: "Oh my god that's insane!!! I legit would've been fine with a filter but he made my no smaller and my lips bigger so like."

Another commented: "I once had my makeup done from this girl and she edited it before putting them on her IG. I scrolled PAST it that's how much it didn't look like me."

A third added: "lol my ex hairdresser blurred some moles on my face."

Other hairdressers also commented on the video admitting they do the same thing with their clients.

One person commented: "I edit my clients photos (smooth out their skin) when I take them because I want focus only on the eyes but never would I edit their features...."

Another said: "Can someone tell him what app he used so I can respectfully do it, for my clients that didn't wear make up but still need a picture lol"

The general consensus, however, was that the hairdresser was out of line.

One TikTok user said: "This is so out of order, you looked stunning before. Not on."

Another chimed in: "This is kind of everything that's wrong with our society, though."

Another commented: "No this is not ok. Unrealistic and unnecessary. You're beautiful in the first one. Don't encourage this behaviour and find a new hairdresser."

While another added: "This is vile, the original is much better. You're stunning. Hope he's lost a customer."

Last year, Kim Kardashian-West was slated for allegedly editing a snap of herself.

Fans of the reality TV star claimed they spotted a Photoshop fail on one of her Instagram pics, which seems to give her three hands.

The reality star shared some snaps from a pre-lockdown shoot in which she's wearing a snakeskin outfit and has a snakeskin effect edited on to her long hair.

However, some eagle-eyed social media users have pointed out that while her two hands are on the wall in front of her, you can somehow see a little glimpse of her snakeskin-manicured nails in her hair.
