Like something straight out of Paranormal Activity, a New York resident says he has been spooked by a mysterious invisible ghost.
Adam Ellis, a comics enthusiast, believes his apartment is being stalked by the ghost of a dead child, and has documented all the goings on in a series he's called 'Dear David'.
His Twitter thread, which has gone viral, began with the simple claim: "So, my apartment is currently being haunted by the ghost of a dead child and he's trying to kill me."

He's now drawn thousands of followers to his page, all fascinated by the strange happenings.
The hauntings, which have been going on for numerous weeks, have featured rocking chairs, scared cats, and mysterious bruises.
For the past 4 nights, my cats gather at the front door at exactly midnight & just stare at it, almost like something is on the other side. pic.twitter.com/Y8nnVLv6b4

On Tuesday night, he began another thread: "It's happening again.
"I've been leaving the nanny cam on 24/7. It records every time there's movement or sound, as you know."
The camera recorded a chair, that had previously been moving around the living room (and something Adam had also been 'saging the hell' out of), rocking in the corner.
In addition to this, his cats seem pretty scared of some unseen being.
Maxwell, one of the cats, after suddenly 'freaks out and jumps over something invisible'.
Later recordings show the cat staring and clawing at something that appears not to have taken physical form.
And if that wasn't enough to freak you out - the green jar on the coffee table can also be the focus of the video. Watch it again. It begins to move several inches over, seemingly by itself, and just after that, the cat starts leaping around.
For those of you thinking, 'Oh it's just a fly distracting the cat', Adam had his own answer. He wrote: "I don't think it was a bug or anything. Maxwell doesn't react like that with bugs. He just eats them. Something spooked him."
Adam also added that he doesn't get flies or bugs in his apartment, saying he's only ever seen three in all the time he's lived there.
The New Yorker also says that he's had dreams about David, the child he believes is stalking the flat.
Left is with my phone. Right is with with Polaroid. The hall light was on both times. Why is it pitch black each time with the Polaroid? pic.twitter.com/Sh94OKP0xA

"For a while he just stared at me, but then he got out the chair and started shambling toward the bed," described Adam.
"Right before he reached my bed, I woke up screaming.
"He's dead. He only appears at midnight, and you can ask him two questions if you say 'Dear David' first. But never try to ask him a third question, or he'll kill you."
Adam has asked him how he died - an accident in a store where someone pushed a shelf on his head - with research revealing no clues. He's shared a photo of what he believes David looks like.
He had a huge misshapen head that was dented on one side. I did my best to draw it: pic.twitter.com/AJizlw7qXe

He's left Adam terrified of being in the flat, with cameras set up picking up motion but revealing no physical figure in them.
What's worse, is that Adam has been getting unknown numbers calling him, and when a small voice replied one night, whispering 'hello', Adam hung up the phone immediately.
Adam has a storify account to explain the ongoings - but either way, this shit is proper scary.
