It was dubbed the 'worst game show betrayal in television history' and now it's inked on the legs of a lad in the north east.

Of course we're talking about the episode of Jasper Carrott's Golden Balls which managed to showcase a moment of treachery at the hands of one contestant called Sarah.

You guessed it, Sarah stole.

Let's set the scene or jog your memory. Sarah and her fellow contestant - Stephen Bushnall - had reached the final round where they had to choose between splitting or stealing the final pot. Quick recap - Both split: money is split, both steal: no one gets money, one person splits and one person steals: the stealer goes away with everything.

With £100,150 ($130,450) in the pot, a massive amount for the show, Sarah told Stephen: "Everyone who knows me would just be disgusted if I stole," and even makes him promise her he won't steal (alright, promises aren't worth much on Golden Balls but you get the gist).

Then she goes and swipes the lot right from under his nose. Now a guy called Jack Chapman has the moment tattooed on his body forever.

When tattoo artist Will Bishop - who co-owns Glasgow-based studio Own Agenda Tattoo - put an ad on his Instagram story asking if anyone would be up for him recreating the scene in tattoo form, Jack jumped at the chance.

Jack, a 26-year-old video game designer, told LADbible: "The idea for it actually came from Will the tattooist, after he put the infamous shot from the episode on his story on Instagram.

"I just so happened to be following him on there so I happened to see it pretty much straight away when he posted it. Without hesitation I DM'd him. So I got booked in and the rest is history."

He went on: "It's known as one of the most shocking parts of the show. Sarah, the contestant, really betrays him right at the end and it's a massive upset.

"But honestly I'm super happy with it, the show was fantastic, the moment was incredibly savage but so iconic and it's been great to see the reaction online to it.

"The entire day me and Will were both laughing about the tattoo even while he was busy."

When it comes to his relatives' reaction - Jack says that their silence speaks volumes.

But what does the OG contestant Stephen think about the tatt? Well, he told LADbible: "I was in total shock when I first saw it. I thought it was a fake photo to be honest. I started to look into this story and found Jack's Instagram account. I couldn't believe what I saw.

"My clip was turned into a meme for Love Island a couple of years ago, and I thought that was awesome, this however, is just a whole new level of craziness. I have total respect for Jack and think he is a fantastic, bat s*** crazy person. I'm simply gobsmacked by the whole experience."
