A 21-year-old man who is married to a gran 53 years older than him has spoken about how his 'lovely wife' is doing following a heart attack.
Gary Hardwick revealed that his partner of four years, Almeda, 74, had fallen ill on 1 April 2020 and began updating their fans on TikTok going forward.
In one of the most recent videos, which was posted a week ago, Gary said: "I want to take a moment here and give you guys an update on my lovely wife.
"First off I want to say thank you all so, so much for your overwhelming love and support and prayers and best wishes to us. It really, really means the world to Almeda and I, so much. More than you guys will ever know.
"So currently, we are waiting for Almeda's next doctor's appointment. The doctor she did have that she went in with the procedure for, he has referred her to another doctor because the three stents, or the three blockages she has to her heart are high risk.
"So we're waiting for an appointment with her new doctor, which will be next week and we're praying that he can do the stents, all three stents, and she will not have to have heart surgery."
These updates are a far cry from the couple's usual content - which includes videos of them kissing and miming songs to each other.
They have over 20,000 followers and have received more than 163,000 likes after setting up the account to keep themselves occupied during the coronavirus pandemic.
Gary and Almeda met at her son's funeral then two weeks later the pair were married after she knew that she wanted to spend the rest of her life with him.
The couple's relationship is much more than their smooching on TikTok though. When they appeared on Loose Women two years ago, they bragged about their healthy sex life. Good for them, right?
Revealing that they first had sex on their wedding night (when Gary was 18), he said: "Everything about her from her beautiful eyes but mainly her personality - her personality has always been amazing."
Gary and Almeda also run their YouTube channel and sent a message to their critics where they said: "I would say we have found happiness.
"We want to let people know that they too have someone regardless of their age, same-sex relationship and interracial relationships. Let us have our happiness and find your own way of happiness."Featured Image Credit: TikTok/ _garyandalmeda_
