A man has told TikTok how people call him a liar on a daily basis, when he tells them his name is Griffin Dohr. Watch below:

Yes, if you're wondering - Griffin's name is pronounced exactly the same as the Hogwarts House of Gryffindor, from the Harry Potter franchise.

In the video, Griffin says: "If you think your name is cooler than mine, I need you to stitch this, duet it, bop it, twist it, pull it - whatever you need to do.

"I don't think you'll be able to beat me, but I'm curious."

He then adds: "Not bi-curious, I'm gay as s***."

If you were wondering which house Griffin would choose for himself (we've all had the conversation), his bio on TikTok clears things up. It reads: "My name is Griffin Dohr but I'm a Slytherin."

The video has been viewed more than 480,000 times since it was posted four days ago. On top of that it's got nearly 85,000 likes and 1,700 comments.

Taking up his challenge, people replied to share their own hilarious names, or those of people they know. One said: "My maiden name is Hurley and my husband's last name is Gurley so when I got married I became a Hurley Gurley."

Another added: "My sister Mary married a man named Brian Christmas. Her name is Mary Christmas," while a third added: "My mom married someone with the last name 'Wood'. She's Holly Wood."

Meanwhile, another follower simply got excited and wrote: "If we were friends I would shout 'TEN POINTS FOR GRIFFIN DOHR!' Every time you told me something exciting or did something awesome."

Warner Bros.

Sharing another story, someone said: "I know a girl called Eira (Welsh for snow) who married Mr White. So she's Snow White."

For some, this can happen as a result of an honest mistake. One of the comments reads: "I accidentally named my son after Kylo Ren [a fictional Star Wars character]. His name is Kyle Oren, he was born in 2014, over a year before episode 7 came out. Oops."

For others, it's an absolute winner. Take this comment as an example: "My parents names are Tom and Geri (Jerry)! They got lots of memorabilia from guests at their wedding."

We mean, who wouldn't want Tom and Jerry memorabilia?
