Man Notices ‘Sexual’ Detail About Maoam Sweet Wrappers

The TikToker picked up on the Maoam wrapper, specifically when it comes to their sexual references

A TikToker has shared a video of different Maoam wrappers after realising 'what they're actually doing':

The guy, who goes by @mitchxllt on the video sharing platform, wrote: "You learn something new everyday," alongside the clip which showed different variations of the sweets.

The flavours included lemon, raspberry, strawberry, orange, cherry and cola and all seemed to show the fruit in a number of rather compromising... um, positions.

Since being posted earlier this month, the video has racked up more than 2.8 million views with more than 400,000 people liking it and nearly 14,000 sharing it.

In the picture all of the wrappers show a green character with a big old nose getting up close and pretty personal with the fruit - in one he/she/they can be seen licking a cherry and scissoring a lemon. There's no other way I can put it.

Commenting on the video, one person wrote: "That's why Maoams taste soooo good," while another disagreed saying: "I'm never eating Maoams again that put me off them." Surely not?

Someone else suggested: "I guess they have children to make a combined flavour?"

A fourth explained why you might not have noticed the wrapper as they pointed out: "I never look at the wrapper, I just ate them."

The suggestive wrappers have also been spoken about on a Reddit thread where someone said: "I grew up with those and never noticed. You just ruined a part of my childhood."

Another added: "We had a friend visit from Germany and she gave us a pack of these... I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees the sexyness [sic] of this candy."

Someone who wasn't happy with the wrappers was Simon Simpkins from Pontefract, West Yorkshire, who noticed what he calls the 'pornographic' illustrations back in 2009.

Mr Simpkins, a dad-of-two, told The Sun: "The lemon and lime are locked in what appears to be a carnal encounter. The lime, whom I assume to be the gentleman in this coupling, has a particularly lurid expression on his face.

"I demanded to see the shop manager and, during a heated exchange, my wife became quite distressed and had to sit down in the car park."

LADbible has contacted Haribo for a comment.
