Men Are Wearing Crop Tops Again And We're Not Sure What To Think

Live and let live?

Growing up I've always thought the crop top was for women. I know there was a period on the 90s when I think the trend died out for men and it's not really been seen since.

But apparently it's making a comeback.

Don't fret lads, if you don't want to wear a crop top because you haven't got the abs of a young George Pavlou, you don't have to - but you can't avoid the fact it is returning to men's fashion.

I can already picture friends of mine that are suckers for new trends and will certainly be queuing outside TopMan for their very own.

And in about a year's time we will be looking back at pictures and laughing heartily at the fact they thought a crop top was a good idea.

However, I am not one to mock other people's fashion choices and as my mother says, live and let live. The only thing I will say though is... anyone can have style, but not everyone is stylish.

And to be fair, the crop top was actually designed by men and for men back in the 70s when gyms wouldn't let weightlifters go topless. So they just cut off the bottom half of their tops to form the crop top.

Slowly but surely it seeped out into the streets and then into homes and soon into just about every bar and nightclub in town.

Maybe I just need to sort out my midriff and get over the return of the crop top. I'll revisit this in a couple of years and see where we're at.
