A mum's incredible Up-inspired photo shoot, featuring her five-year-old son and her 90-year-old grandparents has gone viral.

The adorable shoot from photographer and mum-of-three Rachel Perman was a celebration in honour of her son's Elijah's birthday, as well as to commemorate her successful battle against cancer.

Rachel told LADbible: "I chose to do magical shoots for my kids' birthdays this year as all three of my kids share the same birthday week.

"Five years ago I was diagnosed with cancer right after my twins were born and I had fears about if I would even get to see their fifth birthday.

"My oldest Mikayla was five at the time and I hated not knowing if I would get the same time with them that I got with her. So, for their fifth birthday I wanted to celebrate the things they love with photos. It's a celebration for me and them!"

Elijah's mum Rachel says her son is 'borderline addicted' to the movie Up.

Rachel explained that when it came to the inspiration for the shoots, she went with what her kids love the most - which in Elijah's case is the Disney flick Up.

"Elijah is very particular," she said. "He is borderline addicted to Up and has been for several years. It's the only thing he draws and colours, the only books he wants to get at the library, and the only toy he wanted when we were in Disney World last year. He loves Up!

"Inviting his great grandparents was my idea and a surprise to him. He loved that they dressed up."

In the shots, little Elijah can be seen dressed as Russell while his great grandparents Richard and Caroline Bain don Carl and Ellie costumes.

Neither Richard nor Caroline had seen the Disney movie but they both nailed the look.

Despite looking absolutely spot-on, Rachel says Richard and Caroline, both 90, haven't actually seen the movie but that they were delighted to get involved.

"They were thrilled to participate and loved that I asked them," she added.

"Grandpa even went to the thrift store to get the jacket and hose. He said, 'I noticed in a photo Carl had a hose over his shoulder.'"

As well as the amazing Up-inspired shoot, Ellijah's twin sister Emilee got her very own magical unicorn shoot, featuring a horse complete with horn.

And, as you can probably imagine, the kids loved the shoots and are now eagerly anticipating their big sister's upcoming photo shoot.

Meanwhile, Rachel is just a little bit amazed by how much everyone loves her special photo shoots, as she added: "I had no clue this would receive recognition! It's been fun to see how many people are touched by it.

"I keep telling the kids, 'You are good at bringing happiness to us, now you are making the nation happy too!'"
