This is the moment a two-year-old boy ran onto the pitch during a Major League Soccer game before his mum tackled him to the ground and dragged him away. Watch below:

Little Zaydek Carpenter ran onto the field during the second half of a game between FC Cincinnati and Orlando City.

As soon as the youngster was spotted, a woman - who thankfully turned out to be his mum - came sprinting after him before slide tackling her boy and carrying him away.

Morgan Tucker - the mum in question - looked mortified as she had to chase after her son, who was laughing as she scooped him up before making her way back to the crowd.

You might be wondering how it came about that the young boy was able to get on to the pitch. To that, I would say you've obviously not controlled a toddler before.

Tucker spoke to Good Morning America, where she said: "I literally looked away for one second and saw he was under the fence and I was like, 'Oh my gosh.'

"I had to jump over the gate and then sprinted after him."

She continued: "When I slid and tackled him, I did not feel any pain but the next day I was sore for sure."

Describing her reaction as 'pure adrenaline', she said: "I was so scared he was going to get hit in the head with a soccer ball.

"When I got him back over the fence I said, 'What were you doing?' and he said, 'Mom, soccer ball.'

"He was really into the game and when the [players] would go to the other side of the field, he was not happy, so he wanted them to be there with him.

"He was just running after them. He was just laughing and had no idea what he did."

Speaking about the crowd's reaction, she said: "Everyone was screaming and cheering and I knew they were not cheering for the game. My face was as red as a tomato."

Still, she hoped the incident has opened the door for Zaydek to 'meet the FC team' and even kick a ball with them, adding: "That would be so cool."
