Most of us will never bump into a Playboy model in the gym. Usually, I'd say this is an absolutely terrible thought. However, if you don't like getting your photo taken when you're naked and unaware, it transpires that might be a good thing.

Dani Mathers made the news over the summer when she posted a Snapchat picture of a naked lady in the gym with the caption "If I can't unsee this then you can't either." Lovely.

The photo caught the attention of the Internet and began circulating wildly, with many people calling her out for being mean. Mathers was placed under investigation.

Since then, the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) has reportedly traced the photo back to a 70-year-old lady. Understandably, she was pissed off following the images of her naked body going online for the world to see.

Well, on Friday she was charged with a misdemeanour count of invasion of privacy. As a result, if she's convicted she could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine.

Ouch.

Immediately following the incident, Mathers (who was Playmate of the Year in 2015), deleted the image, tweeted an apology and attempted to back-track in an almost-pathetic fashion.

She then went a bit overboard and recorded a video apology too.

She was probably a bit gutted that the gym she attended cancelled her membership due to her actions.

In the video, the 29-year-old said: "I just want to acknowledge a photo that I accidentally posted. It was absolutely wrong and not what I meant to do.

"I chose to do what I do for a living because I love the female body and I know body shaming is wrong. That's not what I'm about and this is not the type of person I am.

"The photo was taken as part of a personal conversation with a girlfriend and because I am new to Snapchat I didn't realise I had posted it, and that was a huge mistake.

"I know I have upset a lot of people out there but please believe me, this is not the type of person that I am. I have never done this before and I will never do this again, you have my word."

We'll just have to see how this one plays out.
