He goes by the name Morlock and in a TikTok video on Monday, he reacted to internet sensations, including the likes of Harambe the gorilla and Fyre Festival.

Speaking to viewers, he said: "I was in prison for the past five years and I've been asked to react to the following memes."

On a green screen TikTok, he appears in front of the shark from Katy Perry's 2015 Super Bowl XLIX show. The shark became famous after it was seen to dance out of sync while Perry was singing 'Teenage Dream'.

He replied: "Yep, absolutely no. No idea what the hell that is."

He also saw an image of the instantly recognisable Harambe. The gorilla's death on 28 May 2016, the biggest news story in the world when the western lowland gorilla was shot dead by a zoo worker after a three-year-old boy climbed into his enclosure.

Fearing for the boy's safety, the decision was taken to kill the ape, but - because we live in the social media generation - the whole incident was filmed and immediately splayed across the internet for people far and wide to have their opinion on.

But, missing the whole escapade, Morlock thought it could be something to do with his hands.

He said: "Sign language? Gorilla. Nope."

He also reacted to the now-infamous image of that soggy looking cheese sandwich from Fyre Festival. It was ridiculed in 2017 after being initially hailed as

Morlock then reacted to the infamous cheese sandwich from Fyre Festival, which in 2017 was ridiculed for being a flop.

The likes of Kendal Jenner and a load of other model-slash-influencers such as Bella Hadid, Emily Ratajkowski and Hailey Baldwin promoted the festival, which was due to take place on an island in the Bahamas 'once owned by Pablo Escobar'. Tickets for the festival were available for up to $75,000 (£58,000).

But, of course, all this had passed Morlock by.

He says: "Errr, salad? Sandwich? No."

He also responds to the meme of Bernie Sanders at Joe Biden's inauguration with as much indifference.

The US senator immediately started a viral sensation when he was photographed wearing an outdoors coat and knitted mittens to the ceremony in front of the US Capitol, with the image going on to be emblazoned on various items of merchandise.

The ex-convict says: "Bernie Sanders? Is that it? No."

He also has no idea that the guy drinking cranberry juice while skateboarding and listening to Fleetwood Mac completely brightened up our lives for a while, either.

Morlock works on the Past Lives LLC organisation, which helps former inmates in Oregon to overcome trauma and find employment opportunities.
