The U.K.'s Only Bottle Of Big Mac Sauce Sold For More Than A Range Rover

The U.K.'s Only Bottle Of Big Mac Sauce Sold For More Than A Range Rover

I'm assuming we're all lovers of McDonald's Big Mac sauce, simply because it's fucking mega.

Therefore, you might be aware and highly envious about the fact that it's now on sale in countries like Australia, but not the U.K.

It's not hugely important, but I reckon a bottle of the Special Sauce in the cupboard would soothe the minds of many - it could be tipped on everything you ever eat. However, if it had a ridiculous asking price, I'd probably leave it on the shelf.

I thought that a lot of people would have the same thought process, but alas, no. We live in a country of lunatics.

Which is why a bottle of the sacred sauce recently sold for a higher price than a new Range Rover.

Given that the Big Mac turns 50 this year, and the sauce is available in a lot of places outside of the U.K, a bottle of it was auctioned on eBay.co.uk. The first bid was a respectable £3. It is rare and unavailable on these shores, after all.

However, 232 bids later, a winning bid of £65,900 was secured. At least the money is going to charity.

There are many things that could be said about this, but I'll start with the losing bidders. There'll be upwards of 100 people gutted that their bids of around £5,000+ lost. Like a fat bloke from Peterborough will actually be crying.

Secondly, if we take into account the way eBay works - some people will have bid more than once. There's a very big possibility that someone logged onto their account and thought "oh shit, my £60,000 was out-bid, best throw down £62,500."

All this aside, if you're the winner - can I have some?
