Woman Makes Awkward Mistake With Personalised Message On New Headphones

We've all lost our heads at one stage or another during this period of lockdown but one woman has gone viral after sharing her most recent mishap.

Rosa Falcini was enticed by some Apple compatible wireless earbuds from Wowcher, which were advertised as coming with an engraved case.

But when it came to personalising them, 21-year-old Rosa couldn't see the option on the order form and went ahead with the transaction anyway. That's when she came to the delivery page and decided she would leave a message for the driver...

She wrote on what she thought was the delivery message: "Leave in back garden if I am not there." Job done - the earphone case, which cost her £24.99 as part of the package, were engraved and shipped to her home in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.

Speaking to LADbible, the kitchen and bathroom designer said: "I bought this item off Wowcher during quarantine as a little treat. I did see on the page that these could be personalised, however I didn't see the option so I left it and thought I would just buy them without personalising.

"When I went to put the address details in, I saw a 'personalised message' option but because it was where you add your address on a different page I assumed it was for the driver, like a lot of websites do.

"Finally the item arrived and I was excited so I ran downstairs and opened the packaging. I still didn't realise when I opened the item why this was on there. Then it sank in and I thought, 'Oh my gosh, I am such a plonker.'

"I wanted to post it on my Twitter to make my friends laugh. I never thought in a million years it would get this many likes."

Rosa did add that she's been so happy with the quality of her headphones that she has already bought another two sets for some of her family members... although she added that this time she's made use of the personalised message 'as I should'. Reassuring.

LADbible has contacted Wowcher for comment.
