A woman has shared the 'hilarious' reasons why she didn't get the full deposit back after moving out of her property - including one single pea being left in the freezer. You can see the funny clip here:

Posting on TikTok Matilda - or @matildaaahh2001 as she's known on the app - showed the 'damage' she and her flatmates caused which cost them £210.

In the video, the TikToker gives a rating for the various reasons she and her housemates didn't get their deposit back, which include the aforementioned pea in the freezer and a small piece of paper left on the floor.

Posting the clip, Matilda wrote: "Rating the reasons we're not getting our full deposit back.

"A single pea in the freezer 6/10 must have been hard to clean that up."

At this point, the video cuts to a bottle of Febreze on the floor in one of the rooms, which the landlord had seemingly taken exception to.

Matilda went on: "Someone left a Febreze bottle 4/10 maybe they didn't like the smell."

The video then shows a photo of a dehumidify in a hallway, which the former tenant claimed didn't even belong to her or her housemates.

She said: "The dehumidifier that belongs to them that they didn't pick up all year 7/10 you're right that's our fault babes."

Next up, there's a small scrap of paper on the floor, which Matilda rated a 9/10 - adding: "[The landlord] must have needed a whole cleaning crew to sort that out."

The last photo is too blurry to make out and, as such, Matilda isn't able to score it.

She said: "Don't even know what this is supposed to be ???/10."

The clip has since racked up more than 770,000 viewers and plenty of comments from people who have been in similar situations, urged her to appeal the charges or simply took the p**s.

One person said: "Please tell me you appealed this - there is no legitimate loss there that the landlord can claim for."

Another wrote: "I know it's not funny, but that is hilarious. I hope you appeal and get your money back."

A third Titok user added: "Someone I know left a bottle of wine for the new tenants who were moving in later that day and were charged for leaving something behind."

While someone else joked: "Are they taking the peas?"
