A woman was left red-faced after she accidentally sent a cheeky chat up line to her ex boyfriend asking him to put his 'meat on my grill'.
Ella Allen-Jones, 24, had seen the message on a TikTok video and thought it would be funny to message her boyfriend before waiting for his response.
Ella, who is from Fareham in Hampshire, sent the message: "Forgot to ask, are you going to that bbq?"

To her delight her 'boyfriend' (well, at least as far as she thought) replied asking: "What bbq?"
Then the punchline 'the one where you put your meat on my grill' came next and Ella thought she was hilarious.
After a while of waiting to hear from her boyfriend, she checked her phone and then the penny dropped. She'd sent the message to her ex partner and the father of her child.
Not really knowing what to do, Ella decided - in her panicked state - that the best course of action would be to let her ex know it was her current boyfriend who sent the joke.

She wrote: "Oh ffs ignore that it was Liam trying to be funny," to which he replied: "I assumed so."
Reliving the moment on a Facebook group, Ella wrote: "So last night I was watching TikTok, came across this and thought oh yeah I'll send that to my partner he'll find it hilarious.
"Bear in mind I'm sat in the garden and he's just inside, I go ahead and send the first message, wait for his reply... boom let's go.
"Sent the old chat up line, I'm now glued to my phone waiting for his response expecting to hear a laugh from inside thinking to myself 'God, I'm a funny c***'.

"Left on read. What the hell, why isn't he replying? Look up at the name I SENT IT TO MY F***ING EX WHO IS MY KID'S DAD. Lord kill me.
"Didn't know what to do so blamed it on my partner."
Some people responded to Ella with their own messages with some boyfriends acting pretty disappointed to find out there's no barbeque.

Priorities, eh?
Others shared their worst accidental texts, with one writing: "I was meant to be texting my friend as I was leaving the mother in law house and I text my bf instead saying I've just left the posh tart's house where are you loooool he was fuming."
Another added: "My husband once sent my daughter thinking it was me asking for a bj."
Not awkward at all.
