A woman has shared the advice her 'secret service agent' dad gave her that 'saved her life' when she found herself in a creepy situation. You can see her talk about the incident here:

In a video on TikTok Lauren, or @cardy_couture_boutique as she's known on the platform, opened up about the time she had a creepy encounter while out shopping but was able to get herself out of the situation because of the advice her dad had given her.

Lauren explains that her dad always taught her to be super aware of her surroundings and the people around her - she added: "If you are out shopping and you bump into someone multiple times it is most likely not a coincidence. Question everything. Question everybody."

And she was able to put this advice into action when she was out shopping one day in 2014 and spotted a man, who she saw several times, but who Lauren noticed didn't have a shopping cart, which put her 'flags were up'.

As Lauren queued to pay for her items she said she got a 'weird feeling someone was staring her down from behind.

She turned around and there was the same bloke standing a couple of people behind her, holding some rope he was about to buy.

At this point, she started to feel 'kind of strange' and felt a 'presence upon' her so she decided to 'stare him down'.

Lauren says her dad had always told her that while hair and clothes can change, things such as tattoos, scars and birthmarks are permanent, so she began to give the man a quick scan for any distinguishing features she may be able to use to identify him 'if anything happens'.

Once done with her purchases, Lauren said she couldn't see the man hanging around so headed off.

But as she walked across the parking lot, the man appeared and started walking behind her.

He attempted to engage her in conversation by telling her he had 'an opportunity' for her that could earn her a 'ton of money' before asking her to come to his car to pick up a flyer.

The interaction sent Lauren into a 'panic' and while she tried to work out what to do for the best another car entered the car park.

Upon seeing the car Lauren made a dash towards it - this caused the stranger to bolt off in the opposite direction.

She explained: "He started running away so fast because he knew at that point in time there was going to be someone else who was a witness to what was going on."

Lauren ends her story by warning others that 'this type of stuff can happen anywhere, any place, any time of day' so urged her followers to be vigilant.
