Woman Who Put Gorilla Glue In Hair Goes To Hospital

Tessica Brown ran out of hairspray and this was her next best alternative... or so she thought

A woman has had to go to the hospital to try and get Gorilla Glue removed from her hair, after she ran out of hairspray and decided the adhesive would compensate for it:

Tessica Brown admitted herself to the St. Bernard Parish Hospital in Chalmette, Louisiana, after spending a month trying to extricate the product using coconut oil and tea tree oil.

She later uploaded a video to TikTok which shows her applying something to her hair that she received from the hospital.

According to Tessica, she can't wash out the glue - nor can she even shave her head as the hair is so tight against her scalp.

Tessica told her followers how she originally got herself in this situation, explaining: "When I do my hair, I like to finish it off with a little Göt2b Glued Spray, you know, just to keep it in place.

"Well, I didn't have any more Göt2b Glued Spray, so I used this: Gorilla Glue spray. Bad, bad, bad idea. My hair, it don't move. You hear what I'm telling you? It. Don't. Move."

Gorilla Glue has responded to her pickle with some advice, telling TMZ: "The less aggressive solvent for her hair/scalp would be rubbing alcohol to try and saturate her hair and then gently comb it out and shampoo."

The company went on to say that, as Tessica's hair has been stuck for some time now, it's most 'likely fractured at the root', adding that Gorilla Glue staff 'certainly hope for the best'.

In her initial video, which has been viewed over 15 million times, Tessica says: "Hey, y'all. For those of you that know me know that my hair has been like this for about a month now. It's not by choice. No, it's not by choice."

At one point in the clip, she pats her head to enable viewers to get more of an insight into what the glue product has left her with - essentially a helmet made of hair and adhesive.

In a follow-up video, Tessica shows what happens when she lathers her hair with shampoo - as some people have suggested that's what she needs to do in order to sort out the problem.

Seemingly (and understandably) quite emotional, she says: "Look, you wipe it off and nothing happens. Like, this is the life that I'm living at this point."

Fingers crossed for a speedy solution.
