Woman With 13 Siblings Reveals Lies Parents Told To Save Money

Her parents never denied that one of her older siblings *ate* their brother called Paul because he didn't clean his room

A TikToker has revealed some of the lies her parents told her when she was growing up with 13 biological siblings. Watch here:

The user (@intensepear667) revealed some of the things she was told alongside her brothers and sisters including that Toys R Us was a museum and a B on your school report meant you had to repeat a grade.

She explained how things were tight for her parents (I mean, having 14 children what can you expect) which meant that they would tell the porky pies to save money.

Plus, getting good grades made it more likely for their children to get scholarships to go to college (which most did).

Sharing her experiences on the video-sharing app, she said: "Number one: 'Toys R Us is not a store, it's a museum'.

"My mum used to tell this to my siblings and I before walking into Toys R Us because we could not touch anything, play with anything or bring anything home but we could look at it all we wanted.

"Number two: Anything below a B on your report card meant summer school and you had to repeat a grade. I genuinely believed this until high school.

"My parents used to tell my siblings and I this because they knew that they were not going to be able to afford for all 14 of their kids to go to college so we needed those good grades to get some scholarships.

"It really ended up working out in our favour because almost all of my siblings have gone to college for free [going to] universities like Vanderbilt and Columbia."

She then concluded with the most hilarious: "Finally number three: My older sister Bridget ate my brother Paul because he didn't clean his bedroom.

"This one my eldest siblings actually made up but my parents never denied it. I've never had a brother named Paul but because I had so many siblings, I didn't know any better.

"My older siblings used to tell us that our older sister ate Paul because he didn't clean his bedroom so that we'd keep our rooms clean."

Smart kids.

Some people were quick to share the lies they were told or the lies they tell now.

One wrote: "I definitely told my nieces and nephews that the candy I'm eating is spicy or vegetables."

Another added: "My mom used to take me, my sisters and cousins to the Disney store at the mall and told us it was Disneyland."

My mum used to turn the clocks back so that I went to bed earlier.
