A woman's cheeky style of present wrapping has raised a few eyebrows as she asked people to try and guess what was inside.

The unusual shaped object is a gift for the woman's niece and comes complete with a tag that reads: "Naughty or nice?"

Sharing it on Facebook page Christmas Mums and Dads Australia, the woman wrote: "Guess what my Secret Santa gift is?"

It's quite clearly a small, upright vacuum cleaner, surely?

As you can imagine, it caused a bit of stir, with some making the most obvious suggestion, while others were a little more creative.

One person guessed: "A zucchini and two baby potatoes. What else could it be?"

While someone else suggested: "Santa's magic lollipop?"

And a third said: "Big Bird's foot?"

However, the woman in question then put everyone out of suspense and explained: "So I'm going to let you all know it's for my 21-year-old niece.

"She is going to be horrified when she sees this. So is my entire family, some will be laughing and some will be in shock.

"But she will be very happy once she opens it... It's her favourite alcoholic drink (vanilla Galliano) with two shot glasses."

Responding to the big reveal, most people approved of the prank while also being very pleased it wasn't happening to them.

One wrote: "I would die if I was gifted something looking like gigantic bits."

While someone else said: "Oh my god I think I want to just buy that and wrap it for fun."

Someone else requested: "Omg can you video it when you give your niece her present. The reaction would be priceless."

It was actually a bottle of Galliano.

Earlier this month, a mum from the UK decided to use wrapping paper to prank her kids by completely covering the bathroom in it.

Rosie Scudder, 27, told her sons Harry, six, and Max, three, that their Elf on the Shelf had been very busy in the night wrapping up the entire bathroom, including the toilet.

Rosie said: "They thought it was amazing. My eldest said 'Oh wow, Buddy did all this. Buddy's cheeky. How am I going to have a bath?'

"My younger one, Max, was shocked. Seeing his face made it all worthwhile. He was blown away really.

"Max screamed and then Harry came running in. They were both just absolutely amazed that a little elf could do all that.

"I want them to keep believing. I have lots of ideas involving Buddy to help keep the magic, to show he's watching them."
