We all enjoy saving money but would you go to the extreme measure of drying out kitchen roll to reuse it again after hanging out on a makeshift washing line? Probably not. On that note, meet Amber Horne's husband:

The couple from Oregon, US, have built up a huge fanbase of over 740,000 on Amber's TikTok account @therealamberhorne - all thanks to her hubbie's money-saving ways.

Not only does he reuse kitchen paper, he's also taken the bulb out of the fridge and uses tomato ketchup sachets to fill up the family's bottle.

The bloke even has a makeshift washing line for his kitchen roll which has been made using yarn because they're 'too cheap to buy a clothes line'.

Some people might be surprised to discover that the couple have been married for 25 years and for Mother's Day over the years, Amber has been gifted things such as irons, laundry baskets and ironing board.

Basically things that are 'practical' and 'really important in the household'.

Amber's husband even goes to the effort of saving the first bit of water that comes out of the bath tap as the water is heating up. Why? Because there's nothing wrong with it and he says you could use it for the dog's bowl among other things.

The 'frugal' hubby also reuses aluminium foil after wiping it down and flattening it before popping it back into the drawer.

Speaking about his red sauce escapades, the dad said: "Whenever you go to the local market or deli just grab a few extra packets and refill our ketchup container."

If all that wasn't enough he also dilutes milk so that it will last longer.

You might have thought you've seen it all when it comes to being a big ol' cheapskate but Stephanie Bennett arguably takes things to another level as she cooks lasagne in the dishwasher and walks around the gaff with a lightbulb.

Stephanie, who appeared on TLC's Extreme Cheapskates, likes to use her dishwasher to make food, meaning she can get extra bits washed at the same time.

It means she has to wrap the containers tightly using tinfoil to make sure that the water doesn't seep through but she would rather do this that turn on the oven.

Stephanie said: "[I make] fish, hotdogs, lasagne, I'm telling you - I do it all the time."
