Australian Police Share Hilarious Photo Of Car Carrying Trampoline On Top

Don't go jumping on the bandwagon...

Police in New South Wales have shared a frankly ridiculous picture of a motorist driving about with a large-sized trampoline on top of the car.

It's sort of reminiscent of a scene in The Simpsons where Homer does something similar.

Seriously though, it's way too big to be on the top of the car. It's funny, but it probably wouldn't be as hilarious if you were driving the opposite way.

The Aussie coppers shared the photo to the Traffic And Highway Patrol Command Facebook page on Sunday with the caption: "Loadfail"

Now, that's not even a word, but it does somehow manage to encapsulate the situation perfectly. Fair play, NSW police.

While it's obviously not the best idea in the world, a lot of people - more than 2,000, to be fair - have commented on the post, many saying that they're not even annoyed at the cheeky motorist.

It remains, you have to admit, quite impressive to have balanced such a large and unwieldy thing on top of the vehicle.

One person said: "The cops would have jumped all over this and bounced the driver for sure."

Yep, see what they did there.

Another added: "I am not mad, I am actually impressed."

A third said: "I mean... props to them for getting it to stay on there.

"I feel the pain of having to take that thing apart he should be let go on that point."

That said, there are a lot of people who are still quite angry about the fact he's obviously being a bit dangerous and probably breaking the law.

One such person said: "Reckless, dangerous, utter nuisance and hazard to all drivers worldwide."

Hmm... not sure about the 'all drivers worldwide' bit, but the point is clear.

Another said: "Just when you think you've seen the dumbest thing ever... someone tops it,"

Yeah, it's pretty dumb, but the dumbest thing ever? Perhaps that's a little bit far.

After all, it is Christmas, which is during the Australian summertime. Maybe this person is just driving about trying to deliver a particularly difficult present to someone?

Either way, it goes without saying that you should always secure whatever you're trying to transport very carefully to your car.

Oh, and while you're here, maybe disassemble the trampoline before you try to get it into, or on top of, your car.

That shouldn't need saying, really.
