'Child Friendly' Talking Cactus Plays Polish Rap Song About Cocaine

A plush cactus that is advertised as a toy for children has been found to play a Polish rap song that contains references to cocaine and thoughts of suicide. No, really. Have a look at this video and see for yourself.

The cactus, which is promoted online as being good for kids and 'early education', contains three songs, one of which is by Polish rapper Cypis.

Cypis sings a song called 'Gdzie jest biały węgorz?' which translates to English as 'Where is the White Eel?' - believed to be a reference to cocaine.

If you look hard enough, you can find the English words to the song include lines such as:

"The only thing in my head is five grams of cocaine
Fly away alone to the edge of oblivion.
I have thoughts in my head, when will all this end?
Whenever I'm not alone, because a white eel will fly in."

To be quite honest with you, it's one hell of an earworm, but obviously not suitable for children or early education.

Seems like such a happy character, right?

This mistake - if it is a mistake - was first picked up by a Polish woman living in Taiwan, who discovered the singing cactus in supermarket Carrefour.

She found that the offensive cactus was available in several supermarkets, as well as a number of online outlets, who shall remain nameless.

The woman then told her friend Ela Sobczak, another Polish person living in Taiwan, about her discovery, and she told Taiwan News.

She told them that the song references 'cocaine and suicide attempt [sic] repeated over and over again', adding: "It is really shocking."

The woman went on to say: "The song itself is definitely inappropriate to play in front of children."

Despite that, the song appears to be incredibly popular.

The official video on Cypis' YouTube page has been viewed nearly 30 million times since it was uploaded in October 2015.

Here's Cypis, who perhaps is unaware he's the voice of a talking cactus.

If you want to pick up a slightly crass cactus, you definitely can, and they're pretty cheap, if you can find them.

You'll need three AAA batteries to run it, and one website describes it thusly: "Fun and lovely cactus plush toys, can dance, sing, move.

"Our lovely little friend is about 32cm in height and 210g in weight. She is very slim!

"With the singing and humorous dancing, children's attention will be aroused and joy will be brought to them! Adults can also decompress."

Perhaps don't give it to the kids though, particularly if they speak Polish.
