Vodka And Red Bull Flavoured Sausages Exist

Would you try these?

Vodka and Red Bull flavour sausages exist and I don't know if it's 100 percent irrefutable proof that humanity is doomed or the best idea of the year. It's one or the other.

We're used to flavoured sausages, sweet chilli, sage, maybe a bit of caramelised red onion, but where's the line? I feel like maybe the line is here and vodka Red Bull favoured sausages are all the way over there.

Don't get me wrong, sausages are great and so is vodka and Red Bull, but does that mean they should be combined?

I mean, puppies are great and fireworks are cool, but you probably shouldn't mix the two, but then on the other hand...there's a small chance this could be the best thing ever invented. I just don't know, LADs.

Who thought this up? I hear you ask. Who was tucking into a sausage butty and suddenly thought, 'you know what this needs? Vodka and Red Bull'?

Well, the butchers behind the bizarre bangers is called Maguire Meats, based in Irvinestown, Co Fermanagh in Northern Ireland, and despite my reservations, the alco-sausages are going down well with locals.

The guys at Maguire Meats just love adding weird booze combinations to their sausages, and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't intrigued. Spiced rum and orange anyone? They also make, what could be considered more traditional flavours, such as Guinness and a cider sausage.

Keelan Maguire told Belfast Live: "We were thinking about the sausage range for the summer and this was the craziest one we could think of.

"So we gave it a go and it worked out very well and they are very popular. We also added a spicy beef one which is doing well too."

Fair enough.

Keelan added: "We have a few other ideas up our sleeve so keep an eye out." I will most certainly be doing that. If they ever make a Buckfast one I'm all over it.
