Guy Proposes To His Girlfriend For A Month Without Her Realising

As far as enterprising and unusual proposals go, this one is pretty out there.

However, he decided that he wanted to do something a bit more exciting than simply offering it to her and seeing what she said.

So, he took a load of secret pictures of himself holding the ring in the presence of his fiancée-to-be to see if she'd notice.

Well, she didn't, but he did eventually pop the question to her and - thankfully, after all of this effort - she said yes.

"Some plan a flash mob, a fancy meal, or even arrange a marry me sign. I couldn't do this because 'Edi doesn't plan'... I'm a spontaneous improviser."

Knowing that Cally would twig if he started to plan something, he tried something different - to hilarious effect.

He said: "Because of this I took the ring with me everywhere hoping the 'moment' would arise in line with my spontaneous style.

"After a month or so of waiting for the right moment, I was sitting on the sofa admiring 'my precious' (yes I became very attached to this ring by this point).

"Cally almost caught me staring at the ring and it hit me. All these missed opportunities mixed in with the thought - Cally doesn't know I have the ring. I should just start documenting these moments."

Eventually, the positions that he'd get the ring into started to escalate.

He continued: "The idea was to take as many photos, in more daring scenarios, until I found the perfect moment to propose or until I got caught, at which point I would propose."

That includes hiding it in plain sight, and even sticking the ring into her hand while she slept.

Eventually - although the exact method remains a secret - he did propose and she agreed. He shared a picture of the ring having arrived at its final destination: on his fiancée's finger.

We'll have to wait to find out what the eventual proposal looked like, but Edi assured everyone it is 'just as good of a story'.
