A property in West Sussex that is currently on the market for £375,000 is attracting a bit of attention for another reason - on Google Maps' street view armed police can be seen gathering outside of it.

By all accounts, it's a lovely property with three spacious double rooms, a lovely southern-facing garden, and private parking.

However, the scene is spoiled by the fact that there are a number of armed coppers standing outside attending what was clearly a serious incident.

That's not exactly what you'd choose for prospective buyers to know before they seal the deal on a new home, is it?

Here's the house in Haywards Heath.

As well as the two police officers with guns, there was also an ambulance and two police vehicles present at the scene on the day that the Google car drove past.

A group of people can be seen standing around the ambulance, and another is sat on the floor.

If you move on around the neighbourhood, you might discover that there is also a seriously messed up white van with a headlight missing, and a number of neighbours standing around wondering what has gone on.

In case you're wondering, the incident in question saw three people - including a teenager - sentenced for their role in the commotion, which happened on the morning of 30 April 2019 in the town of Haywards Heath.

According to reports from BBC News, there was a collision between two vans - one of which we've already mentioned - and groups from within both vans started fighting with each other.

One person involved in the fracas suffered a broken arm, and things got so heated that weapons were produced.

Mark Brazil, 40, was sentenced to six months in prison, suspended for 18 months, after admitting to possession of an offensive weapon.

Sue Brazil, also 40 years old, admitted to a charge of possessing an article with a blade or point and received a 12 month community order.

A third party, a 17-year-old who cannot be named for legal reasons, was given a 12 month referral order after also admitting to possession of a bladed or pointed article.

Whilst Rightmove probably aren't too happy about the Google Maps impression of the neighbourhood, Twitter users have found it hilarious.

One person joked: "A unique SEO problem: Trying to sell a house when Street View shows armed police in attendance."

Another said: "Excellent access to various footpaths (over fence) at rear of property, including to car park (and own parking space, useful for awaiting getaway vehicle etc)."

The police cars and ambulance showed up.

In the description on Rightmove, the property is described as an 'attractive traditionally-built semi-detached house of character.'

It certainly has that.

The website adds: "There is off-road parking to the front for two vehicles and a particular feature is the delightful south facing rear garden extending to about 96 feet in length."
