Kids are always encouraged to do things with their parents, as a good bit of quality bonding time can be great to foster healthy relationships. Whether you want to ride bikes together, binge on a TV show or even just grab a coffee with them - mum and dad will probably be happy.

But clearly there are some activities that people believe shouldn't be something shared between parents and their kids.

It's an understatement to say that Dave Roberts and his daughter Hazel raised a few eyebrows when they appeared on This Morning to show off their pole dancing skills.

Dubbed as the only father-daughter pole dancing duo in the world, they wowed TV hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford with some pretty impressive moves. There's no doubt that their display takes a hell of a lot of balance, precision, core mobility and trust.

However, there were plenty of people on social media who weren't exactly fans of Dave and Hazel.

Brittany wrote on Twitter: "It's not just because it's a father and daughter. Pole dancing with any family member would be weird. I wouldn't do it with my sisters. Some things you don't do with family!"

Bob added: "Pole dancing is hard and great exercise and fair play they are both keeping fit and being dedicate, but can't help think a dad and daughter combo seems a little weird."

However, another Twitter user stepped in to support them, writing: "How amazing are they. Parents and kids should have a bond don't matter what age you are!"

Dave says he got into the sport after a girlfriend of his nagged him to join her so she wouldn't have to go by herself. However, Hazel had no idea her dad had started the new exercise regime until her final year of university.

She had already signed up to a six-week pole dancing course, and about halfway through she sent her dad a picture of a move she had just completed. Hazel was hoping the image might shock her dad, however he just scoffed and told her he had done that position ages ago.

Anyone might get a bit freaked out after learning their dad was not only taking pole dancing classes but was better at it than them - but Hazel thought it was great and they decided to team up.

They regularly compete as a duo and seem pretty happy - so who are we to judge.
