A group of guys recently enjoyed a bizarre and completely unique stag do experience when they travelled to Amsterdam for a few days, but without the groom.
OK, so losing the stag isn't exactly an unusual thing - in fact, it's normally a sign that you're doing it right - but usually that takes place after a few drinks have been taken at the destination, not beforehand
In order to ensure that the stag still got to enjoy the fun, they had a life-size cardboard cut-out him shipped to Amsterdam and carried it around for the duration.
Steve Broadbent was the stag in question. Despite having already married his wife in a registry office, his brother Ryan and a few friends decided to give him the traditional send-off to the single life with a few days in 'The Dam'.

Ryan told LADbible: "He's my younger brother and we booked his stag do a few months ago, but at the last minute he said he couldn't come.
"There was six of us in the end - including the cut-out - and we took him out on a day session and a night session in Amsterdam, took him to all the local haunts coffee shops, peep shows and gay bars"
"Everywhere we went people were coming out of nowhere and asking for photos with the cut-out and asking what the story was.
"We had a great laugh with it, actually."
There you have it - five lads from Sheffield walking around with a life-size cut-out of their mate. All seems pretty fair and above board, right?
But what did Steve think about it when he saw the pictures? Most stags have at least one out-of-body experience during their stag party, but usually nothing like this.
Ryan continued: "He loved the fact that we took the cardboard cut-out, we sent him all the pictures when we were over there.
"We've been to Amsterdam many times before and he's been with us. He couldn't work out whether it was this time or not, or how he got there."
"Some of them look like he's really there, the ones in the nightclub for sure.
"He was a bit perplexed at the start but then we sent him the rest of the photos and told him what the craic was and he was laughing.
"He thought it was good craic."
Well, that's OK then.
